MGFA National Patient Conference Brings MG Community Together

The MG Community had been waiting for this moment for nearly four years.

Together, in a hotel ballroom in New Orleans, people with myasthenia, their loved ones, doctors and care providers, industry partners, and MGFA staff gathered. There were excited greetings, smiles, and hugs. We were back together again!

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the MGFA to transition the patient conference into an online event. Though this approach was well-received by the MG Community, and replicated in 2021 and 2022, there was always something missing as conference attendees watched presentations and sessions via Zoom on their laptops.

Finally, in March 2023, we were able to bring the MG Community back together. We learned more about MG, rekindled friendships, made new connections, and saw some of our associates “off screen” for the first time.
